We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy whenever you use our Services to stay informed of ways you can protect your privacy.

Your Consent

When we collect information about you other than through our Website, we will first obtain your permission to do so, if required by applicable law. However, by using the Website, you agree that this notice governs Maergo’s collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information submitted to us on or through the Website. If you do not agree to be bound by this notice, you will need to deactivate your account and stop using our Services.

Information Collected

We or our service providers, on our behalf, may collect some or all of the following categories of information from you and others depending on how you interact with our Services. Below are the types of information we may collect.

  1. Information You Provide to Us
  • Information that you provide by filling in forms on our Website. When you fill out a form on our website, we collect information such as your name, company name, business email address, estimated monthly shipping volume and phone number (optional).  
  • Employment: If you apply for a position with the company or become an employee, we collect information necessary to process your application or to retain you as an employee. This may include, among other things, your Social Security Number, mailing address, and financial information.
  1. Information Collected from Our Partners
  • Retailer partners.  When you place an order through one of our retail partners and select our Services for delivery of your parcel, our retail partners will share certain information with us in order to provide you with our Services.  This may include:
    • Shipment contact information (such as name and delivery address).
    • Business contact information (if applicable) (such as job title, department, and name of organization). 
    • Retailer information (such as origination and return shipping address(es)).
    • Parcel information (such as dimensions, value and a general description of the parcel contents).
    • Contact information for people you would like us to contact regarding delivery of a parcel.
    • Mobile device unique identifier.
    • Financial information used for payment purposes.
    • Geo-location data.
    • Other information (such as language preference).
  • Delivery partners.  When your parcel is delivered, we may receive a scan or photo from our delivery service provider in order to confirm delivery.
  1. Information Collected Automatically

As you navigate through and interact with our Website, we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns, including:

  • Details of your visits to our Website, including traffic data, location data, logs, and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on the Website.
  • Information about your computer and internet connection, including your IP address, operating system, and browser type.
  • Cookies, Pixel Tags/Web Beacons, Analytics Information, and Interest-Based Advertising Technologies. We and third parties that provide content, advertising, or other functionality for our Services, may use cookies, pixel tags, local storage, and other technologies (“Technologies”) to automatically collect information through the Services.     • Pixel Tags/Web Beacons. A pixel tag (also known as a web beacon) is a piece of code embedded in the Services that collects information about users’ engagement on that web page. The use of a pixel allows us to record, for example, that a user has visited a particular web page or clicked on a particular advertisement.
  • Other.  We may have access to certain information from a third-party social media service if you create or log into your online account through the service or otherwise provide us with access to information from the service. Any access that we may have to such information from a third-party social media service is in accordance with the privacy policy and authorization procedures determined by the social media service.  We protect data obtained from third parties according to the practices described in this notice, plus any additional restrictions imposed by the other sources of the data.

Some browsers offer a “do not track” (“DNT”) option. Since no common industry or legal standard for DNT has been adopted by industry groups, technology companies or regulators, we do not respond to DNT signals. We will make efforts to continue to monitor developments around DNT browser technology and the implementation of a standard.

  • comply with federal and other applicable laws, including the TSA known shipper program;
  • provide the information, products and services you request;
  • provide you, if you are a client, with effective customer service;
  • provide our customers, carriers, and warehouses with shipment information such as delivery location;
  • provide you with a personalized experience when you use the Website;
  • better understand your needs and interests;
  • improve our products and services and develop new products and services;
  • improve our marketing and promotional efforts;
  • improve the content, functionality and usability of the Website;
  • evaluate your interest in employment and contact you regarding possible employment with Maergo;
  • enforce the Website terms of service;
  • promote security; to protect against and prevent fraud, claims and other liabilities; and to manage corporate risk exposure;
  • meet our internal and external audit obligations; and

These third-party vendors may use your personal information only in connection with the services they perform on our behalf, and they are bound to protect your personal information in a manner consistent with our own policies and practices.

Your Choices

We strive to provide you with choices regarding the personal information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information: 

  • Tracking Technologies and Advertising. You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of this site may then be inaccessible or not function properly.
  • Promotional Offers from the Company. If you do not wish to have your contact information used by the Company to promote our own or third parties’ products or services, you can opt-out at any time by emailing us at [email protected]. If we have sent you a promotional email, you may opt of further promotional email communications by clicking on the link provided at the bottom of your email.  Please note that this opt out does not apply to information provided to us as part of a Services or transaction experience.

We do not control third parties’ collection or use of your information to serve interest-based advertising. You can opt out of receiving targeted ads from members of the Network Advertising Initiative (“NAI“) on the NAI’s website.

Nevada provides its residents with a limited right to opt-out of certain personal information sales. Residents who wish to exercise these sale opt-out rights may submit a request to [email protected]. However, please know we do not currently sell data triggering that statute’s opt-out requirements.

We take security seriously and have implemented administrative, physical and technological measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. All information you provide to us is encrypted and is stored on our secure servers behind firewalls. 

Unfortunately, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you provide to us. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we do not accept liability for unauthorized disclosures. You are also responsible for taking reasonable steps to protect your personal information against unauthorized disclosure or misuse.

By using the Services or providing personal information to us, you agree that we may communicate with you electronically regarding security, privacy, and administrative issues relating to your use of the Services. If we learn of a system breach that may have impacted the security of your information, we may attempt to notify you electronically by posting a notice on the Services or on other public media, by mail, or by sending an e-mail to you.

Personal Data Retention

We will retain information required to comply with privacy requests, serve our retail partners’ needs, for audit purposes, as required by law, and in order to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements. 

Third-Party Websites

We may include links on the Website to third-party vendors or Services partners. These third parties may use cookies alone or in conjunction with web beacons or other tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use our website. The information they collect may be associated with your personal information or they may collect information, including personal information, about your online activities over time and across different websites and other online services. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based (behavioral) advertising or other targeted content.

When you click on a link to a third-party website from the Website, your activity and use on the linked website is governed by that website’s policies, not by those of Maergo. We encourage you to visit their websites and review their privacy and user policies.

Policy Regarding Children

Our Website and Services are directed to individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18 (“Children”). If you are under the age of 18, do not use or provide any information on this Website or through any of its forms.  If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 18, we will delete that information.  If you believe we might have information from any Children, please contact us at [email protected].  

Transportation Security Administration (“TSA”) Disclosure

When a shipping customer uses our Services, federal law authorizes Maergo to collect information related to the Transportation Security Administration’s (“TSA”) “known shipper” program.  Section 114 of United States Code Title 49 allows us to collect certain customer information to qualify the customer as a “known shipper” or to verify the customer’s “known shipper” status.  Although providing this information is voluntary, failure to provide the information will prevent you from qualifying as a “known shipper.”  This information will be disclosed to TSA personnel and contractors or other agents including Indirect Air Carriers (“IACs”) involved in the maintenance and operation of the known shipper program. TSA may share the information with airport operators, foreign air carriers, IACs, law enforcement agencies, and others in accordance with the Privacy Act, 5 U.S.C section 552a.  For additional details, see the system of records notice for Transportation Security Threat Assessment System (DHS/TSA 002) published in the Federal Register.  Any fraudulent or intentionally false statements or certificate made by a customer may be subject to both civil and criminal penalties under 49 C.F.R. parts 1540 and 1548 and 18 U.S.C. § 1001, in addition to any other penalties that may be imposed by applicable laws.
